In 8th grade English last week, students completed a nonfiction book club project for the memoir, "Discovering Wes Moore" by Wes Moore. Out of the choices of projects to complete, one student created a movie poster and another student created a playlist of songs that could represent the lives of the two Wes Moores. #MaroonPride

Students in 8th grade social studies have been learning about the stock market and how it operates during our unit on the Great Depression. Students were given $10,000 to invest in companies of their choice. Over the course of the unit, we are tracking the prices to see if students have made or lost money. It has been a rough week for some! #MaroonPride

CJHS Spring Sports Information:
Wrestling: Practice is on Monday and Wednesday from 2-3 pm
Girls Track : Practice will begin Monday, March 8th at 2- 3:30 at the Track. You will need to wear layers of clothes, mask, running shoes, and have a bottle of water. You will also need to be picked up at the track at 3:30. Plan on practice during SPRING BREAK, dates and times TBD Our Track coach will be in the gym to monitor the runners after 1:45. Please make sure you have a current physical on file and are registered on 8-18.
Boys Track: JH Boys Track will start on March 15th and will practice from 2-3:30 each day. Please make sure you have a current physical on file and are registered on 8-18.
Girls Basketball: Practice will begin Tues. (3/9) Wed. (3/10) and Fri. (3/12)- times to be announced soon!

IDPH/IESA SPECTATOR GUIDELINES FOR CJHS ATHLETICS
: 2 guests per rostered CJHS player.
: No visiting fans allowed.
: Masks must be worn by spectators at all times. Masks must cover
both your nose and mouth.
: Temperature and Symptom Checks will be taken upon entry.
: The gym will be cleared between each game, spectators should exit
the gym in a timely manner and return to their vehicles. No gathering
in the gym, cafeteria or front vestibule should take place.
: All spectators should enter through the main front doors.
: Bleachers and bench areas will be disinfected between each game.
: Gates will open 15 minutes prior to game time.
: Please sit in the marked spaces only, stay 6 ft away from other
spectators unless you live in the same household.
: No gate fees, or concessions will be available.
: All seating will be 30 feet from the playing floor and benches.
Winter events hosted by CJHS will be livestreamed. They will be broadcasted on our YouTube Channel. A link will be provided in our athletic department social media accounts on game days.
