Good morning, Douglas School families. This is Mr. Creighton.
The City of Clinton Water Department is making repairs today that will require the water to be shut off at Douglas School.
Morning Pre-K classes will continue as scheduled and dismiss at their normal time. The water will remain on until after the morning session has ended.
However, all afternoon Pre-K classes are canceled for today, Monday, October 26.
Afternoon Pre-K buses will not be running to pick up students, and families should not bring their children to school this afternoon.
Again, morning Pre-K will dismiss as usual, and all afternoon Pre-K classes are canceled for today.

Varsity Football Season Canceled Due to Low Participation and Injuries; JV Season to Continue
After careful consideration of student-athlete safety, participation numbers, and the
current number of injuries within the program, Clinton High School has made the
difficult decision to cancel the remainder of the varsity football season.
The decision was not made lightly. With a limited number of healthy varsity players
available, continuing the varsity schedule would place additional physical demands on
student-athletes and create significant safety concerns. The health and well-being of our
students must remain our highest priority.
While the varsity season will not continue, JV football will continue as scheduled. The JV
program provides an opportunity for our football players to continue participating,
developing their skills, building teamwork, and representing Clinton on the field.
We understand that this is disappointing news for our players, coaches, families, and
supporters. We appreciate the commitment and dedication our student-athletes have
shown throughout the season. This decision is ultimately about putting the safety of our
students first while allowing our football program to continue through JV competition.
The school recognizes the impact this decision has on student-athletes and their
families and appreciates their understanding and support. Coaches and school
administrators will continue working with players throughout the remainder of the
season to provide a positive and meaningful football experience.
We are proud of the effort, perseverance, and sportsmanship demonstrated by our

After careful consideration of student-athlete safety, participation numbers, and the
current number of injuries within the program, Clinton High School has made the
difficult decision to cancel the remainder of the varsity football season.
The decision was not made lightly. With a limited number of healthy varsity players
available, continuing the varsity schedule would place additional physical demands on
student-athletes and create significant safety concerns. The health and well-being of our
students must remain our highest priority.
While the varsity season will not continue, JV football will continue as scheduled. The JV
program provides an opportunity for our football players to continue participating,
developing their skills, building teamwork, and representing Clinton on the field.
We understand that this is disappointing news for our players, coaches, families, and
supporters. We appreciate the commitment and dedication our student-athletes have
shown throughout the season. This decision is ultimately about putting the safety of our
students first while allowing our football program to continue through JV competition.
The school recognizes the impact this decision has on student-athletes and their
families and appreciates their understanding and support. Coaches and school
administrators will continue working with players throughout the remainder of the
season to provide a positive and meaningful football experience.
We are proud of the effort, perseverance, and sportsmanship demonstrated by our
football players and coaching staff. We look forward to supporting our athletes as they
