Clinton Board of Education Accepting Applications for Board Vacancy
Clinton CUSD #15 is seeking candidates for a Board of Education appointment to fill a vacancy created by the July 30th, 2026 resignation of John Heinlen.
We are very grateful for John’s dedication to our community and want to thank him for his years of service to our students, staff and residents as a member of the Clinton CUSD#15 Board of Education,” said Board President Pro-Tempore, Tammie Ennis.
This appointment will be until 2027 election. The Board has 60 days to fill the Board vacancy.
At a minimum, applicants for the School Board position must:
· Be a United States Citizen
· Be at least 18 years of age
· Be a resident of Illinois and the District for at least one year immediately preceding the appointment
· Be a registered voter
· Not be a child sex offender
· Not hold another incompatible public office
· Not have a prohibited interest in any contract with the District
· Not hold certain types of prohibited State or federal employment

A resume and letter of interest must be turned in by 4 p.m. on August 14th, 2026.
