Beginning February 3rd, parents, students and teachers across Illinois will have an opportunity to participate in the annual statewide Illinois 5Essentials Survey. This survey is designed to generate a detailed picture of the inner workings of your child’s school. As a parent/guardian, this opportunity will allow you to share your thoughts on the important elements of school effectiveness in a survey about your child’s school. The survey window is open through March 10th. Please take a moment to complete the survey.

Due to the extreme cold temperatures predicted for tomorrow, there will be no school on Friday, January 23, and the district will utilize an Emergency Day.
As previously communicated, CUSD 15 may use up to three Emergency Days before transitioning to an E-Learning Day. To date, we have used one Emergency Day. Student safety is always the primary factor in making these decisions. particularly for students who walk to school, wait outside at bus stops, or may be unable to immediately access their homes at dismissal due to locked residences in dangerously cold conditions. Based on the reason for calling school off, the district will allow students to participate in after-school activities tomorrow. This approach is consistent with surrounding districts.

From Superintendent Drew Goebel,
Our hearts are broken as we grieve with our neighbors in Chatham. We extend our deepest sympathy and unwavering support to the children, families, and staff of the Ball-Chatham School District, and to all first responders impacted by this unimaginable tragedy.
As educators, parents, and students, we mourn the young lives lost and hope for comfort and healing for those who are injured. We hold close in our thoughts the families walking through unthinkable sorrow, and we stand in solidarity with the Chatham community as they seek peace in the midst of pain.
We recognize the strength and compassion of the first responders who stepped forward in the face of crisis. May they continue to find courage and feel the appreciation of communities near and far.
To honor those affected and show our support, Clinton School District will wear red on Friday, May 2, 2025. We invite our entire school community to join us in this visible sign of love, unity, and remembrance.
Though words can never fully express our sorrow, please know that the Clinton School District and community holds you close. May love surround you, may peace find you, and may healing begin.
With care, compassion, and solidarity,
The Staff, Students, and Families of the Clinton Community School District
#ChathamStrong
