Dear Parents and Guardians of Seniors:
Congratulations! Graduation is just around the corner and with that comes a series of important events for your senior. In an effort to make sure that your student is able to fully participate in the end of the year festivities, we have prepared a guide for you of important dates, deadlines, and expectations for our seniors. Listed below are the dates for all activities pertaining to seniors. Please see page two of this letter for information about graduation.

SR. TRIP – April 22, 2026
All school rules will apply on the trip and consequences for breaking them may include suspension and not participating in graduation ceremonies.
LAST DAY OF ATTENDANCE
Seniors last day of attendance will be Friday May 8, 2026.
Fee & Attendance Requirements
All student fees including food service must be paid by May 1st or your student will not be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremonies.
Attendance at graduation practice is mandatory. Seniors who are late to practice will be seated at the end of the class, not in alphabetical order. Seniors are expected to bring their cap and gown to practice. Woods Photography will be on site to take individual photos beginning at 8:00am. Class photo will be taken after graduation practice.
GRADUATION EXPECTATIONS
Dress Code
1. Dress clothes recommended. Cap and gown must be worn.
2. NO flip flops, shorts, tennis shoes, or jeans.
Behavior Expectations
1. Students must be appropriately dressed upon arrival to school on the date of graduation in order to be allowed to participate in the ceremony.
2. Student are expected to listen respectfully to the speakers and the recitation of the names so that those around them and in the audience can enjoy the ceremony.
3. Students who cannot manage to be respectful during the ceremony may be asked to leave the gymnasium.
4. Seniors participating in a Senior Skip Day and/or a Senior Prank may not be allowed to participate in graduation. Students are asked to exercise good judgment during their final weeks as Clinton High School students.
5. Students who arrive after 1:45 pm on the day of graduation may not be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony.
Graduation Day Details
1. Clinton High School will open at noon on May 17, 2026 to give parents and families ample time to secure their seats. Seating is on a first come, first serve basis.
2. Reserved handicapped seating is available on a first come, first serve basis. Please contact
Mrs. Svencner at 217-935-8337 ext. 1001 for reservations. Reservations are available for the person who is handicapped and one additional person.
FINAL TRANSCRIPTS
Final Transcripts will not be available until June 10, 2026. If students need to send final transcripts to any college/university, they will need to complete that through their PARCHMENT account. Please make sure you have your Parchment account set-up. You will need to have a request in for a “hold” on a copy of your final transcript. Also, your student needs to have a personal email set up in Parchment. Once the student graduates, their school email will be deactivated. If you have any questions, please contact Student Services.
