1. Below are the only valid exemptions from semester exam:

  • All seniors will be required to take first semester exams for any year long course for which they fail to meet the incentive requirements. Those seniors taking a semester long course will be required to do so only if it is necessary for passing the course. Second semester exams will be required only for those seniors needing them to pass a course necessary for graduation. In all cases, a student wanting to take an exam for the purpose of trying to improve their grade will be allowed to do so.
  • Students who have missed 3 or less days for any individual class period and who are currently attaining a semester grade of C or higher are exempt from taking the semester exam for that class period. Students meeting these qualifications may choose to take the exam if they wish to attempt to improve their grade.
  • All students are required to be at school unless they are exempt for one of the above reasons.
  • Students who receive an unexcused absence from Advisory will be required to take finals in ALL academic classes.

2. Students not in attendance during the scheduled exam time will receive a zero for the exam unless they have an excuse as outlined in the attendance section of the handbook.

3. Any student remaining on campus during release time must remain in the commons or library and must study during that time and remain relatively quiet.

4. Students must remain in testing a minimum of one hour and cannot be in the halls, other than to pass quietly to the commons, library or outside.

5. Breakfast and lunches will still be served.

6. Busses will run on their regular scheduled times.
