Reminder...Online School Registration will begin July 22
Next week (April 13-17) the Clinton School District will be hosting an "At Home" Spirit Week contest. Each day, CUSD 15 students and families will be invited to participate in the contest by dressing up according to that day's theme and posting a picture on the District Facebook page in the comments section of that day's post. We then invite you to vote for your favorite photos throughout the day. At 4pm each day, voting will close and the top three vote receivers each day will win a gift card to a local restaurant. We wanted to create an opportunity for our students and families to have fun during this time, but also find a way to give back to those local businesses that do so much for our school and community. Theme Days: Monday - Pajama day (We might as well start with what most of us are wearing during remote learning!) Tuesday - Superhero day (In honor of all our essential workers for being heroes in the community) Wednesday - Crazy hair day (To remember how important our hairstylists, barbers, and other workers who may be unable to work right now are) Thursday - Jersey day (To remember all the sports we are missing at this moment) Friday - Clinton Maroon day (Show your Maroon Pride!) We look forward to seeing everyone's spirit on display next week!

#WeAreCES Let me tell you about some awesome things that are going on at CES for a minute. All of our students at CES are setting and meeting goals in both ELA and Math. Our benchmarking data shows that most of our kids grow in reading levels by multiple steps each year. Our attendance rate has improved to 95% of our student are in school every day! Last year’s IAR data (grades3,4,5) showed 2 of our students earned perfect scores! We tested higher than the state in both ELA and Math! #CESMaroons are rockstars! Thank you teachers and staff for all you do for our students! Thank you students for showing up each and every day and making a difference in this world! Love, Mrs. Young

Dear families, Thank you for the outpouring of support during our fundraising event. Our school raised just over $19,000 for our playground shade! I am so excited to get shade on the playground and the students are over the moon! I’m sure the playground supervisors will appreciate the shade too 😉 Our Clubs Choice delivery is scheduled for Oct. 16th from 3:30-5:00pm. We will have pick up located in the gymnasium. Please make arrangements to pick up the items you sold as well as your prizes on Oct.16th. We do not have freezer space for any food not picked up. Also, when you deliver, you will be collecting any money still owed on your order form. The date to have the money turned in to CES office is Oct. 21st. Thanks so much for helping make this event so successful! Way to go Maroons! #WeAreCES Mrs.Young

Mrs. Weiss’s class has been studying about ecosystems. In this activity students learned that an organism can only survive in an ecosystem where its needs are met. They got to explore living things and non-living things, such as pebbles, sand, water, plants, fish, air etc.. They also got to think and will continue to study about the changes in ecosystems and the impacts they have on living things. Project created-Terrariums #CESMaroons #MaroonPride

Please log in to Family Access to see who your fifth grade student will have as his/her teacher. Some students are with different teachers now. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Clinton Elementary School held its annual Kids Heart Challenge event, formally known as Jump Rope for Heart, on Thursday, February 7th, and it was a great success! The Kids Heart Challenge is a community service learning program of the American Heart Association. It teaches kids the importance of developing heart-healthy habits; that being physically active can be fun; and by raising funds to support research and education they help save lives across the country and their community. Leading up to the event, the students participated in a jump rope unit during Physical Education class. They learned and practiced many jump rope skills. On Clinton Elementary’s event day, students enjoyed jump rope stations and jump rope contests. Our Jump Rope for Heart event was very successful this year. Together, CES’s students raised $15,446.00 for the American Heart Association. Thank you to all who participated and played an active role in helping us accomplish this goal.
